Frequently Asked Questions
What is ADHD coaching?
ADHD coaching is a collaborative process that helps individuals develop practical systems and strategies to manage executive function challenges such as task initiation, procrastination, time management, organization, emotional regulation, and follow-through.
Rather than focusing on the past, coaching focuses on creating actionable strategies for the present and future. Together, we identify what’s getting in the way, experiment with tools and systems, and build sustainable habits that work with your brain.
Who do you work with?
I work primarily with:
-
Teens and adults with ADHD
-
Individuals who suspect they may have ADHD
-
Professionals struggling with productivity and overwhelm
-
College students
-
Parents trying to better understand their ADHD brain
-
High performers experiencing burnout due to executive function challenges
Many of my clients are bright, capable people who know what they should do, but struggle to consistently follow through.
What kinds of things can ADHD coaching help with?
Coaching can help with challenges such as:
-
Procrastination and task initiation
-
Time blindness and time management
-
Planning and prioritizing
-
Organization and clutter
-
Sustaining focus
-
Emotional regulation
-
Decision making
-
Overwhelm and burnout
-
Building routines and life systems
-
Self-confidence and ADHD mindset
The goal is to build a personal operating system that works with your brain, not against it.
Do I need to have an ADHD diagnosis?
No.
Many people come to coaching because they relate strongly to ADHD traits but may not have a formal diagnosis.
Coaching can still be extremely helpful for learning strategies that support executive functioning and daily life management.
Is ADHD coaching the same as therapy?
No, they serve different purposes.

Therapy typically focuses on healing, emotional processing, and mental health treatment.
Coaching focuses on practical strategies, accountability, and skill-building to help you move forward in daily life.
Many clients benefit from working with both a therapist and a coach at the same time.
Do you give advice or tell clients what to do?
Sometimes I will teach tools and strategies that work well for ADHD brains, but coaching is primarily collaborative and individualized.

We explore what works best for your brain, your life, and your goals. The goal is to help you build systems that feel sustainable and realistic, not rigid or overwhelming.
What does a typical coaching session look like?
Sessions are conversational, structured, and solution-focused.

We may:
-
Identify what’s getting in the way of progress
-
Break down overwhelming tasks
-
Develop systems for organization, planning, or time management
-
Troubleshoot challenges that came up during the week
-
Build motivation and accountability
-
Practice decision-making and prioritization
-

Most clients leave sessions with clear next steps and practical tools to try right away.
How long do people usually work with a coach?
It varies depending on the person and their goals.

Some people work with a coach for a few months while building systems and skills, while others prefer ongoing support and accountability over a longer period of time.

Many clients find that consistent coaching helps them maintain momentum and prevent falling back into old patterns.
Do you offer virtual coaching?
Yes. All coaching sessions are conducted virtually via Zoom, which allows clients from around the world to participate.

I have worked with clients in many countries and across multiple time zones.
How do I get started?
The best place to start is by scheduling a discovery call.
This is a short conversation where we can:
-
Discuss what you’re struggling with
-
Explore whether coaching is a good fit
-
Answer any additional questions you may have
From there, we can determine the best next step for working together.
Is coaching covered by insurance?
ADHD coaching is typically not covered by insurance, as it is considered a professional coaching service rather than medical treatment.
However, some clients are able to receive reimbursement to their HSA or FSA accounts, depending on their provider.
How much does ADHD coaching cost?
The cost of ADHD coaching can vary depending on the coach’s training, experience, and the structure of the coaching package.
My sessions typically range from $125–$200 per session, depending on the type of session and the size of the coaching package. I offer packages with a minimum of six sessions, which allows us enough time to identify patterns, implement strategies, and build momentum.
Larger packages reduce the per-session cost, making ongoing support more affordable while giving clients the time they need to create meaningful and lasting change.
Is ADHD coaching worth it?
Many people with ADHD have spent years feeling frustrated, stuck, or believing they simply need to “try harder.” Coaching can provide the tools, structure, and support needed to finally create sustainable change.

I have worked with nearly 1,000 individuals from over 29 countries worldwide, and many clients report that coaching was exactly what they needed to move forward. Through the process, people often gain a deeper understanding of their ADHD brain, learn practical tools for daily life, rebuild self-confidence, and feel more capable of navigating work, school, and relationships with greater clarity and confidence.
